You can make a website for free through Yahoo (GeoCities) and tripod. On the Yahoo page click on geocities and follow the instructions. Or go to tripod.com and you can set one up there free. The only thing about the free ones is that your adress will have either geocities or tripod in the name unless you buy a domain name. You can do that through yahoo or godaddy.

what type of website are you talking about… it doesn’t cost much if you are just hosting at a server.. you would need to be able to do your own coding…
if you are talking about your own blog site etc.. there are many out there, just google blog site, and you should get a list; there is always myspace, etc… where you can make it almost like your own.

Yahoo! has a great sitebuilder program that they give you free if you pay them for hosting. The Yahoo! hosting starts at about $9.95 per month. Keep in mind, however, that this does not include credit card processing which is more difficult and more costly. It all depends on what you would like to do with your site. You can also get good, inexpensive sites at godaddy.com I think they start at like $3.00 per month depending on what you want.
Good luck, I hope this helps.

Geocities, Tripod, Angelfire and Freewebs let you create your own free site but usually the name of the site is really long (example:) ones that are not like that but cost money are: MeccaHosting, GoDaddy, Netfirms, DreamHost
good luck on your website anyway
