Can I edit a Geocities web page using HTML?

I would like to edit my geocities web page(free version) and want to know if this is possible outside of the yahoo web builder tools provided with the free version.

Yes you can. You can create your own HTML pages and then upload them to GeoCities through the Control Panel.

Yes, i believe there is a way to write just html text inside of there somehow. You’ll have to navigate your way through it though because I forgot how.
